Steve Kylie - Chair Steve Kylie is a Barrister, Solicitor who was born and raised in Peterborough. Steve obtained his law degree at the University of Ottawa in 1978 and has worked as a lawyer in Peterborough, since being called to the bar in 1980. Steve is very active in our community and is involved in numerous community initiatives. Steve is one of the founding members of The Mount Community Centre.
John Martyn - Vice Chair John Martyn is a retired educator and one of the founders of The Mount Community Centre. He has worked as a volunteer in non profit housing and poverty reduction initiatives for over 35 years. For many years John was a trainer for Telecare Distress Centre. John and his wife Nora are among the individuals who formed the Peterborough Theatre Guild. They enjoy celebrating the accomplishments of their four delightful grandchildren.
Su Musclow - Treasurer Su is a retired elementary school teacher, principal, and course instructor at Trent University. Along with her commitment to TMCC, she is a long time supporter and Board member of Kairos Non-Profit Housing of Peterborough.
Nancy Sharpe Nancy serves as Director of Communications for The Mount Community Centre. She has extensive experience in communications, crisis management, marketing and social media having worked for decades in the field of communications and marketing. Nancy also worked for the Addiction Research Foundation and was inducted into the Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
Sister Eileen McManus Sister Eileen has been a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph for over 64 years. As a registered nurse, she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital as a registered nurse, supervisor and mentor. Since retiring 10 years ago, she volunteers at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre in Palliative Care. Sister Eileen serves as a member of the Health and Human Services Committee where she interacts and supports our residential tenants.
Michael VanDerHerberg - Secretary Michael has worked in the non profit sector for fifteen years. His work with the New Canadians' Centre as a Refugee Resettlement Coordinator welcomed many refugee families to Peterborough. He now works with One City Peterborough, housing those who are hard to house in our community. Michael is a co-owner of the Silver Bean Cafe, is happily married to Andrea, and has two beautiful children.
David Kennedy David retired as the Supportive Care Counsellor for the Palliative Care Community Team at Hospice Peterborough. He was born and raised in Peterborough and has served in many areas of this community. "I count it a privilege to work with such a passionate and compassionate group of people here at TMCC to make our community a great place for everyone".
Murray Rodd Murray is a respected and proven collaborative leader with success leading change, creating innovation, and improving organizational performances as Chief of Police, Canadian Forces Commanding Officer, and leader in the community. With 10 years experience as the Chief of Police with the Peterborough Police Service, he has proven ability to inspire excellence and build high performing teams.
